Pepper prices on June 23, 2026: rebound as the market recovers

(VAN) After several sessions of decline, domestic pepper prices on June 23, 2026 reversed course and edged higher across most key growing regions.

Pepper prices on June 23 globally

In the international market, pepper prices on June 23 recorded no major changes. According to the International Pepper Community, pepper prices in key producing countries continued to remain at elevated levels.

Global pepper prices remained flat as supply and demand are currently balanced. Fluctuations in the USD, combined with easing logistics costs, have prevented any significant price rallies. However, declining inventory levels in several exporting countries are seen as a supportive factor for prices over the medium and long term.

Pepper prices on June 23 domestically

In the domestic market, pepper prices on June 23 rebounded by VND 500-1,000/kg across most producing regions, following the sharp decline recorded at the end of last week.

According to traders, this modest rebound is mainly driven by several factors:

  • Following the recent sharp decline, many exporters and traders have returned to the market to replenish inventories.
  • Supplies from farmers have become limited, as most producers had already sold their stocks during the previous period of higher prices.
  • Pepper exports in June have shown signs of improvement, boosting overall market sentiment.
  • Stable global pepper prices have provided support for the domestic market.

However, the current increase is not yet strong enough to establish a clear upward trend. The market remains in a consolidation phase after falling below the VND 140,000/kg threshold.

As a result, domestic pepper prices are currently ranging from VND 136,500 to VND 139,000/kg, with Dak Lak and Dak Nong continuing to post the highest prices in the country.

Latest pepper updates on June 23

According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in the first half of June 2026, Vietnam exported nearly 13,000 tons of pepper, with export turnover reaching around $ 85.4 million, up more than 20% in both volume and value compared with the same period last month.

Meanwhile, Vietnam’s pepper imports fell by around 9%, indicating that domestic supply continues to play the main role in processing and export activities.

In the European market, Vietnam remains the largest pepper supplier. However, its market share has declined compared with the same period last year as competitors such as Brazil and Indonesia have become more competitive.

Experts forecast that pepper prices will likely continue fluctuating around VND 136,000-140,000/kg in the coming period. As global supply is no longer abundant and import demand is gradually recovering, pepper prices are expected to remain at high levels in the second half of 2026.
