The live pig market in the North has not experienced any new changes compared to yesterday.

The live pig prices in Phu Tho and Hanoi are still trading at VND 64,000/kg, the highest in the region.

Traders in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh are purchasing at VND 62,000/kg, the lowest in the region.

Prices in other localities remain stable.

Thus, the live pig prices in the North on November 15, 2024, are trading between VND 62,000 - 64,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of live pigs in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Lam Dong is still at VND 62,000/kg, the highest in the region.

Other localities are still trading at around VND 60,000 - 61,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands on November 15, 2024, are being purchased around VND 60,000 - 62,000/kg.

On November 13, the Biên Hòa City Police (Dong Nai) was collaborating with other authorities to investigate and handle a case involving more than 4 tons of pig internal organs discovered at a processing facility in Biên Hòa City that did not meet food safety standards.

Earlier, on the afternoon of November 12, the Economic Police Team of Bien Hoa City, in coordination with the Phuoc Tan Ward Police, inspected a pig fat processing facility in Tan Mai Ward, Phuoc Tan, owned by Ms Nguyen Thi Dung (53 years old, residing in KP8, Tan Bien Ward). They found several violations regarding food safety.

At the time of the inspection, police officers identified that the facility had 10 workers processing and preparing pig internal organs, which emitted a foul odor, and were being done on the ground, not following sanitary procedures.
