Globally, prices on both the London and New York exchanges dropped sharply on October 7, 2025.
On the London exchange, Robusta coffee for November 2025 delivery fell by $ 56 (down 1.23%) to $ 4,471/ton, while the January 2026 contract plunged $58 (down 1.27%) to $ 4,464/ton.
On the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for December 2025 delivery dropped by 9.4 cents (down 2.4%) to 381.35 cents/lb, and the March 2026 contract fell sharply by 9.2 cents (down 2.45%) to 364.95 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices today fell across the board as traders are no longer overly concerned about supply shortages on the exchanges.

Traders said the two leaders from the U.S. and Brazil held an online video meeting described as having “positive results,” although few details have been released.
Mr. Michael J. Nugent, a coffee market broker and consultant, commented: “The much-anticipated meeting between President Trump and President Lula - though not yet scheduled - will be crucial. The upcoming trend in the coffee market will largely depend on whether the two leaders can find common ground.”
Brazilian coffee farmers said the coffee flowers are blooming profusely, but more rain is needed to ensure good fruit setting.

Meanwhile, ICE-monitored arabica coffee inventories fell to their lowest level in 1.5 years, down to 535,136 bags as of October 6, while robusta coffee inventories also decreased to their lowest level in 2.5 months, at 6,333 lots.
