Global coffee prices remained stable on both the London and New York exchanges. However, summarizing the week, the global coffee market turned downward.

In particular, Arabica for December 2025 delivery dropped by 4.53% due to concerns over rising supply as rainfall in Brazil improved and the weakening real encouraged producers to boost exports.

Meanwhile, Robusta for November 2025 delivery decreased slightly by 1.04%, still supported by tightening supply on the ICE exchange. According to the latest data, Robusta inventories fell to their lowest level in 2.5 months, down to 6,237 lots as of October 8.

According to Cecafe, Brazil’s green coffee exports in September fell by about 18% year-on-year, reaching 3.45 million 60-kg bags. The main cause was the 50% import tariff imposed by the U.S. Arabica exports decreased by 10% to nearly 2.97 million bags, while Robusta exports plunged by 47% to only 489,700 bags.

Although total coffee exports (including instant and roasted coffee) fell to 3.75 million bags, Cecafe President Marcio Ferreira said the decline was expected, as Brazil set a record export level in 2024. He added that the U.S. 50% import tariff has worsened the situation, especially since the U.S. remains Brazil’s largest coffee importer.

Thus, global coffee prices on October 12, 2025, were flat compared to yesterday.
