The live pig market in the North remains stable compared to yesterday.
The live pig prices in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh are still trading at VND 62,000/kg, the lowest in the region.
Traders in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, and Tuyen Quang are buying at VND 63,000/kg.
The price of live pigs in other areas remains at VND 64,000/kg, the highest in the region.
Thus, the live pig prices in the North on 11/08/2024, are trading between VND 62,000 and VND 64,000/kg.
The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions has remained unchanged from yesterday.
Specifically, the price in Dak Lak is still at VND 58,000/kg, the lowest buying price in both the region and the country.
Other areas continue to trade around VND 59,000 to VND 62,000/kg.
Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions on 11/08/2024, are buying at around VND 58,000 to VND 62,000/kg.
The live pig market in the South has shown no new changes compared to yesterday.
In this region, VND 60,000/kg is the lowest price and is being traded in Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, and Soc Trang.
Other areas continue to buy live pigs for around VND 61,000 to VND 62,000/kg.
Thus, the live pig prices in the South on 11/08/2024, are trading between VND 60,000 and VND 62,000/kg.
Mr. Tran Quang Thai, Director of the Ben Tre Sub-department of Livestock and Veterinary Medicine, stated that no new cases of dangerous infectious diseases in livestock and poultry, such as foot-and-mouth disease, blue ear disease in pigs, lumpy skin disease, and avian influenza, have been reported.
Specifically, the Sub-department of Livestock and Animal Health has advised the Department of MARD to submit documents to the Ben Tre People's Committee, directing measures to prevent illegal imports and the unauthorized transportation of animals and animal products, ensuring effective disease control, promoting sustainable livestock development, and ensuring food security.
