Năm 2024, Trung tâm Nghiên cứu môi trường và cộng đồng (CECR) đã phối hợp triển khai dự án “Thúc đẩy hiệu quả sự tham gia của cộng đồng trong bảo vệ môi trường và quản lý bền vững tài nguyên nước tại Đà Nẵng” giai đoạn 2024 đến 2027 đã thành lập nhiều tổ giám sát cộng đồng dọc theo các dòng sông.
In 2024, the Center for Environment and Community Research (CECR) worked with local partners to implement the project “Enhancing Effective Community Participation in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Water Resource Management in Da Nang” for the 2024-2027 period. As part of the project, several community monitoring groups were formed along local rivers.
Các tổ duy trì hoạt động hằng tuần, kiểm tra màu nước, nguồn xả thải, tình trạng rác thải và nguy cơ gây ô nhiễm nguồn nước. Khi phát hiện khai thác vàng trái phép hay đánh bắt tận diệt ảnh hưởng đến dòng sông, người dân sẽ báo ngay cho lực lượng chức năng xử lý.
These groups carry out weekly activities, checking water color, discharge sources, waste conditions, and potential risks of water pollution. Whenever illegal gold mining or destructive fishing activities affecting the river are detected, local residents immediately report them to authorities for handling.

“Từ khi triển khai dự án bảo vệ môi trường sông Cu Đê, người dân được tuyên truyền nâng cao ý thức, không xả rác bừa bãi và bỏ rác đúng nơi quy định. Đồng thời, khi phát hiện người từ dưới đồng bằng lên đào đãi vàng trái phép, bà con sẽ thông báo cho nhau để kịp thời ngăn chặn.”

“Since the Cu De River environmental protection project was launched, local people have received more awareness-raising activities. They no longer litter carelessly and dispose of waste in the proper places. Following multiple training and communication activities, local residents have shown a clear improvement in awareness about protecting water resources. Communities are now working together to protect forests, preserve rivers, and limit activities that pollute the environment, helping secure water sources for both daily life and production.

Từ khi công trình được triển khai, các ban, ngành đã đẩy mạnh tuyên truyền, tổ chức nhiều lớp tập huấn về bảo vệ môi trường và gìn giữ nguồn nước, qua đó ý thức của người dân được nâng lên rõ rệt.”

“In the past, before the Nam My diversion dam was built to supply water for the city, many people did not fully understand the importance of water security. Since the project was implemented, authorities and local organizations have stepped up communication efforts and organized many training sessions on environmental protection and water conservation. As a result, public awareness has improved significantly.”

Không chỉ riêng thượng nguồn sông Cu Đê thuộc phường Hải Vân, dự án còn triển khai tại nhiều nơi dọc lưu vực sông Yên, Túy Loan... Các tổ giám sát cộng đồng định kỳ đo chất lượng nước nhằm bảo vệ nguồn nước sinh hoạt và sản xuất cho người dân thành phố. Sau thời gian triển khai, mô hình này đã cho thấy vai trò quan trọng của cộng đồng trong công tác bảo vệ môi trường và quản lý tài nguyên nước.
The project is not limited to the upper C u De River in Hai Van Ward. It has also been implemented in many areas along the Yen and Tuy Loan river basins. Community monitoring groups regularly measure water quality to help protect water sources for domestic use and production across the city. After a period of implementation, the model has demonstrated the important role of local communities in environmental protection and water resource management.

“The main goal of the project is to promote effective and sustainable community participation in environmental protection and the preservation of Da Nang’s water resources. Da Nang has the Cu De River and a relatively clean river system in Hoa Vang. These rivers originate from the Truong Son mountain range, flow to the sea, and serve as important water sources for the city and surrounding areas. Therefore, alongside the goal of building sustainable communities, protecting water resources is considered a top priority.”
