Latest Arabica and Robusta prices on August 5, 2025
Global coffee prices posted strong gains today, driven by a weakening U.S. dollar. Coffee exports from Brazil have not yet been exempted from the proposed 50% tariff, raising concerns that trade between Brazil—the world’s largest coffee producer—and the U.S.—the largest coffee consumer—could be severely impacted.
Current coffee prices remain high, attributed to a combination of factors: extreme weather conditions, limited supply, trade policy uncertainties, and rising production costs. This situation is expected to persist if these underlying issues are not resolved.
In addition, investors are increasingly concerned about the potential for escalating trade tensions, which could fuel further instability and speculation across commodity exchanges—pushing coffee prices even higher due to market sentiment.
Thus, global coffee prices on August 5, 2025, rose significantly compared to the previous session.
In Vietnam, the domestic coffee market also saw an increase today compared to yesterday.
