Under the agreement, both sides will strengthen coordination in disseminating Party guidelines and State policies, while promoting information on agriculture, environment, and rural development. The partnership also aims to promptly reflect local management, direction, and implementation outcomes.
Notably, the cooperation will focus on key areas such as restructuring the agricultural sector in line with growth model transformation; developing ecological, organic, and circular agriculture; managing natural resources and protecting the environment; disaster prevention and climate change adaptation; and promoting sustainable fisheries while combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. In addition, both parties will collaborate on thematic content, forums, and the promotion of effective models, OCOP products, and value chain linkages.

To Hoai Phuong emphasized that as the sector faces increasing demands for transformation, communication efforts must become more in-depth and closely aligned with production realities and management practices.
“We are fortunate to have a specialized newspaper that has provided significant support to the agriculture and environment sectors. Its team is closely connected to farmers and deeply understands field realities, which gives them an advantage in conveying technical advances, production models, and development orientations,” Phuong said.

According to Phuong, the department has advised the Ca Mau Provincial People’s Committee to approve the agreement, establishing a structured coordination mechanism for information sharing and communication direction, particularly on technical issues such as disease outbreaks, natural disasters, environmental protection, and production transformation.
Notably, in 2026, Ca Mau will host the first Mekong Delta’s Best Rice Competition. “We hope VAN News will accompany us in promoting this event, helping enhance the value of rice and promote Ca Mau’s agricultural brand,” Phuong added.
Representing VAN News, Nguyen Ngoc Thang noted that the agreement marks an important step in strengthening ties between a specialized media agency and a state management body.

Ca Mau is a locality with strong potential for ecological agriculture, forest economy, and marine economy, and is among the leading regions in climate change adaptation. In this context, communication is not only about reporting but also about connecting, guiding, and spreading value, thereby helping policies take root in practice.
Today’s signing represents a shared commitment to that mission, from policy communication and promotion of effective models to organizing forums, workshops, and thematic programs, as well as raising public awareness of sustainable agriculture, digital transformation, and environmental protection. It can be said that the timing of this agreement is both timely and appropriate.
This is particularly relevant as Ca Mau is set to host the Science, Technology, Culture, and Tourism Week in April, in conjunction with the first Mekong Delta’s Best Rice Competition 2026, a major event bringing together science, production, markets, and culture.
The signing ceremony is considered an important milestone, expected to lay the foundation for a strong and lasting partnership, contributing to the development of agriculture and environmental protection in Ca Mau Province in a modern and sustainable direction. Photo: Trong Linh.
Thang emphasized that as climate change increasingly impacts the Mekong Delta, communication must play a leading role in connecting stakeholders across agricultural value chains. VAN News will focus on developing in-depth content on production transformation, scientific and technological applications, digital transformation, and green agriculture, while also coordinating forums and seminars to promote effective models and strengthen production and market linkages.
“We are committed to leveraging our multi-platform media ecosystem to accompany the Department in communication efforts, contributing to improved state management efficiency and sustainable sector development,” Thang affirmed.
