Rice prices on December 5 domestically

The rice and paddy markets today, December 5, are stable, with no significant changes in prices for both rice and paddy. The price of paddy remains high, with limited trading activity.

  • Long An sticky rice (dry) is priced at VND 9,800 - 10,000/kg; Long An IR 4625 sticky rice (dry) is priced at VND 9,600 - 9,800/kg.
  • IR 50404 paddy is priced at around VND 7,600 - 7,800/kg; Dai Thom 8 paddy is at VND 8,800 - 9,000/kg.
  • OM 5451 paddy is priced at VND 8,000 - 8,300/kg; OM 18 paddy is at VND 9,000 - 9,200/kg.
  • OM 380 paddy is holding at VND 6,800 - 7,000/kg; Japanese paddy is at VND 7,800 - 8,000/kg.
  • Nàng Nhen (dry) paddy is traded at VND 20,000/kg, while Nàng Hoa 9 is priced at VND 8,800 - 9,000/kg.

Similarly, rice prices today (December 5) also remain stable, with low supply and slow buying at markets.

In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), rice arrivals are slow, with most stock remaining in warehouses and buyers purchasing slowly. The prices of various types of raw rice have decreased slightly. In Lap Vo, there are sporadic arrivals from Soc Trang and Bac Lieu, with a slight downward trend in prices.

  • IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice is priced at VND 10,250 - 10,350/kg; finished IR 504 rice is priced at VND 12,400 - 12,500/kg.
  • Sticky rice is priced at VND 18,000 - 22,000/kg; regular rice is at VND 16,000 - 17,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice is at VND 28,000/kg.
  • Thai fragrant long-grain rice is priced at VND 20,000 - 22,000/kg; Jasmine rice is at VND 17,000 - 18,000/kg; Huong Lai rice is holding steady at VND 22,000/kg.
  • Common white rice is purchased at VND 17,500/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at VND 21,500/kg; Soc rice is at VND 18,000 - 18,500/kg; Thai Soc rice is at VND 21,000/kg.
  • Taiwanese fragrant rice is at VND 21,000/kg; Japanese rice remains steady at VND 22,000/kg.
  • OM 5451 broken rice is priced at VND 9,200 - 9,300/kg; dry rice bran is at VND 5,800 - 6,000/kg.

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is $ 408/ton (a decrease of $ 2), while the price of 5% broken rice is $ 517/ton (a decrease of $ 3). The price of 25% broken rice stands at $ 482/ton (a decrease of $ 3).
