Rice prices on December 4 domestically

Rice and paddy prices have slightly increased across the board.

  • Long An 3-month sticky rice (dried) is priced at VND 9,800 - 10,000/kg; Long An IR 4625 sticky rice (dried) is priced at VND 9,600 - 9,800/kg.
  • IR 50404 paddy is priced around VND 7,600 - 7,800/kg; Dai Tho 8 paddy is priced at VND 8,800 - 9,000/kg.
  • OM 5451 paddy is traded at VND 8,000 - 8,300/kg (up by VND 300); OM 18 paddy is priced at VND 9,000 - 9,200/kg (up by VND 200).
  • OM 380 paddy remains at VND 6,800 - 7,000/kg; Nhat paddy is stable at VND 7,800 - 8,000/kg.
  • Nang Nhen (dried) is priced at VND 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa 9 paddy is at VND 8,800 - 9,000/kg (up by VND 400).

Rice prices on December 4 have also increased slightly. The volume of transactions is still low, with only a few varieties being traded, mostly fragrant and sticky rice, which have higher prices.

In the Sa Dec market (Dong Thap), raw rice supply is limited, and transactions are stable. High-quality rice is hard to find, and fragrant and sticky rice is priced higher.

At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), rice prices have increased slightly, but transactions are slow, with most rice being of lower quality and few high-quality rice available.

  • Raw IR 504 Summer - Autumn rice is priced at VND 10,250 - 10,350/kg (up by VND 50); processed IR 504 rice is priced at VND 12,400 - 12,500/kg (up by VND 100).
  • Sticky rice is priced at VND 18,000 - 22,000/kg; Common rice is priced at VND 16,000 - 17,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice is priced at VND 28,000/kg.
  • Thai long-grain fragant rice is priced at VND 20,000 - 22,000/kg; Jasmine rice is priced at VND 17,000 - 18,000/kg; Huong Lai rice remains at VND 22,000/kg.
  • White rice is bought at VND 17,500/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at VND 21,500/kg; Soc rice is priced at VND 18,000 - 18,500/kg, and Soc Thai is at VND 21,000/kg.
  • Taiwanese fragrant rice is at VND 21,000/kg; Japanese rice remains at VND 22,000/kg.
  • OM 5451 broken rice is priced at VND 9,200 - 9,300/kg, and dried bran is at VND 5,800 - 6,000/kg.

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is at $ 410/ton; 5% broken rice is purchased at $ 520/ton. Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice stands at $ 485/ton.

Thus, the price of paddy and rice on December 4, 2024, has increased slightly compared to yesterday.
