Globally, pepper prices on December 14 showed uneven fluctuations.
The price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia decreased slightly by 0.31%, reaching $ 6,787/ton. The price of Muntok white pepper also dropped by 0.31%, standing at $ 9,068/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $8,200/ton, while the country's white ASTA pepper is priced at $ 10,400/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper traded at $ 6,300/ton (an increase of 0.8%).
In Vietnam, the price for export black pepper of 500 g/l is trading at $ 6,300/ton, while the 550 g/l variety is priced at $ 6,600/ton. The price for export white pepper is currently $ 9,400/ton.
Today, global pepper prices have slightly decreased in Indonesia but have edged up in Brazil's black pepper market. Other markets remain stable.
According to the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's pepper exports in October reached a new record of 9,112 tons, up 11.4% compared to the previous month and 5.3 times higher than the same period in 2023.
In the first 10 months of 2024, Indonesia exported a total of 44,361 tons of pepper, generating $ 240.2 million in revenue. This represents a 2.1-fold increase in volume and a 2.4-fold increase in value compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the average export price increased by 12.9%, reaching $ 5,415/ton.

In the domestic market, pepper prices have increased again today compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Dak Lak, the price of pepper has risen to VND 146,000/kg, up by VND 1,000.

In Gia Lai, the price has risen by VND 1,000, trading at VND 144,000/kg.
In Dong Nai, traders are continuing to buy pepper at VND 145,000/kg.
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau have remained steady at VND 145,000/kg.
Traders in Binh Phuoc continue to buy pepper at VND 145,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices have increased slightly by VND 800 - 1,000, bringing the price of this commodity to VND 146,000/kg.
Thus, as of December 14, 2024, domestic pepper prices are trading around VND 144,000 - 146,000/kg.
