Live pig prices on November 26 in the North

The live pig market in the North fluctuated in mixed directions compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, the live pig prices in Thai Binh increased slightly by VND 1,000, reaching VND 63,000/kg — the highest in the region.

Meanwhile, traders in Thai Nguyen reduced the price by VND 2,000, purchasing at VND 61,000/kg. This is also the price in Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang, where prices decreased by VND 1,000 each.

Other localities showed no price changes.

Thus, the live pig prices in the North on November 26, 2024, are trading at VND 61,000 - 63,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remains stable compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pigs in Dak Lak remains the lowest in the region, standing at VND 59,000/kg.

Other localities continue to trade around VND 60,000 - 62,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions on November 26, 2024, are purchased around VND 59,000 - 62,000/kg.

The live pig market in the South shows a slight decrease compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pigs in Dong Thap and Hau Giang both dropped by VND 1,000, trading at VND 61,000/kg, which is the same price as in Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang, and Tra Vinh.

VND 63,000/kg remains the highest purchase price in the region, recorded in Long An, An Giang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Ca Mau, and Soc Trang.

Other localities are maintaining prices at VND 61,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the South on 26/11/2024 are trading in the range of 61,000 - 63,000 VND/kg.

Over 70% of communes in Bac Kan have eradicated African Swine Fever.

After a period of severe outbreak, African Swine Fever in Bac Kan has gradually subsided. By the end of November, 75 out of 102 communes, wards, and towns in the province have declared the disease under control, and 12 communes have gone 21 days without new cases of sick pigs.

The People's Committee of Bac Kan Province has also issued a document requiring relevant authorities and localities to intensify efforts in disease prevention and control. There will be strict enforcement against the buying, selling, or transporting of diseased pigs, and actions will be taken to prevent the disposal of dead pigs in ways that could spread disease or cause environmental pollution.

After the situation has subsided, pig farmers in Bac Kan Province have begun restocking their herds.
