As stated in the Prime Minister's June 3, 2020, "National digital transformation program through 2025, toward 2035," agriculture is one of the sectors and areas that need prioritization for digital transformation.
Agriculture should be pushed in the direction of smart and precision agriculture, with a view to expanding the economy's share of digital agriculture.
The event takes place in a particular context in which the region and the globe are generating possibilities for Vietnamese agricultural goods to access contemporary technological models, digital experiences, and more effective market access.
The forum, titled "Keeping up with market trends and promoting the economy's supporting role during and after the Covid-19 pandemic," includes dialogues on public-private policies between the government and private sectors, as well as related parties, in order to implement the Prime Minister's direction; provides solutions to promote the agricultural digital transformation to meet market demands.
Officially, the forum will begin on September 16 with two theme sessions and a plenary session that will be aired live on VnExpress news. Two thematic sessions on "Improving the Ecosystem for Vietnam's Agriculture's Digital Transformation" and "Developing human resources to meet the needs of Vietnam's agricultural digitalization" will bring together experts and representatives from domestic and international businesses to discuss and share experiences, as well as propose directions and solutions for achieving the goal of agricultural digitalization in Vietnam.

On September 16, the plenary session will be attended by representatives from ministries, agencies, major businesses, corporations, associations, and international organizations, as well as local and international specialists.
The themes will include the challenges and possibilities associated with digital transformation in Vietnam; ground-breaking potential for Vietnamese agriculture; and solutions and resources for Vietnam's digital agriculture.
This is the first time in Vietnam's experience that a large-scale agricultural conference has used virtual reality technology. Due to the support of these modern features, participants may access the format of "virtual conference - genuine experience," which allows them to follow and participate in all forum activities even if they are not physically present at the site. Delegates may register for free to attend the plenary session at https://bitly.com.vn/ubrfld in order to follow along live and enjoy the forum's contemporary facilities.
Additionally, a number of additional fascinating events were arranged on an online platform as part of the forum's framework, such as a series of lectures on agricultural economics.
Additionally, the Vietnam Agriculture Virtual Reality International Exhibition is one of the Forum's most noteworthy events when it comes to pioneering the use of virtual reality technology.
