Global coffee prices today remained stable. For the week, however, the global coffee market plunged, with Robusta and Arabica September 2025 contracts losing 10.66% and 2.83%, respectively.
The decline was driven by concerns over U.S. consumer demand following a weak jobs report, while traders await U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision on imposing a 50% tariff on imports from Brazil.
Latest coffee prices on September 7, 2025, domestically and globally
Previously, coffee prices had surged as speculators closed short positions. However, the rally has stalled as technical indicators showed the market in an overbought state, warning of a possible correction.
In addition, favourable weather with heavy rains in Brazil’s key coffee-growing regions has strengthened expectations of an abundant upcoming supply, triggering sell-offs and cooling the market. All these factors are creating a highly volatile picture, requiring investors and traders in this commodity to remain extremely cautious.
Thus, global coffee prices today, September 7, 2025, moved sideways compared with yesterday.
