On the global market, prices on both the London and New York exchanges plunged sharply on September 3, 2025.
Specifically, Robusta prices on the London exchange for September 2025 delivery dropped by $225 (equivalent to 4.66%), down to $4,602/ton. The November 2025 contract lost as much as $229 (or 4.95%), standing at $4,399/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for September 2025 delivery tumbled by 14.65 cents (equivalent to 3.69%), to 382.20 cents/lb. The December 2025 contract sank by 15.75 cents (or 4.08%), settling at 370.35 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices today plunged by 4–5% as favorable weather in Brazil raised expectations for next season’s output, even as trade tensions with the U.S. restrained market activity.
After a period of drought, rainfall in Minas Gerais, Brazil’s largest arabica-growing region, has recovered to above-normal levels. According to forecasts from Climatempo, a cold front is expected to bring showers later this week.
Coffee prices, however, remain vulnerable to volatility amid uncertainties related to U.S. tariffs. Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is scheduled to hold an online meeting with BRICS leaders next Monday to discuss U.S. trade policy.
