Supermarket chain expects a double in agricultural exports

On July 11th, a delegation from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade led by Deputy Director Nguyen Nguyen Phuong visited and surveyed the supply situation at MM Mega Market An Phu (in Thu Duc city) as part of the Shopping Season 2024 promotion program.

Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong highly praised the contributions of MM Mega Market over the past 8 years in the Vietnamese market.

In particular, the city's industry and trade leadership acknowledged the achievements of MM Mega Market, along with other supermarket systems and businesses in the area, in stabilizing prices and promoting Vietnamese goods among consumers.

"This is one of the pioneering retail units that has introduced OCOP products into supermarkets and hypermarkets, gradually becoming a green retailer, supporting green enterprises in distributing goods to consumers," said Mr Nguyen Nguyen Phuong. He also added that in 2024, MM Mega Market actively cooperates with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade and other retailers to build cooperative programs aimed at ensuring the quality of goods reaching consumers.

Ms. Tran Kim Nga, Director of International Relations at MM Mega Market, affirmed that MM Mega Market has consistently supported Vietnamese agricultural products and promoted their export to countries in the region and around the world over the past 8 years.

"Since 2019, MM Mega Market has successfully exported Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products to Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Turkey, including key products such as sweet potatoes, dragon fruit, pomelo, coconut, catfish, shrimp, and frog legs... Currently, MM Mega Market exports dragon fruit regularly with 2-4 containers per month to Thailand and China", said Ms Tran Kim Nga.

Ms Nga also mentioned that in 2024, MM Mega Market expects to double its export volume of agricultural products, aiming for a turnover of over VND 60 billion, targeting challenging markets such as Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands...

Furthermore, MM Mega Market and businesses continue to collaborate with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade during the Shopping Season 2024 promotion month, offering a series of promotions for essential products with a commitment to stabilizing prices of essential items to provide the best choices for consumers.

Specifically, from July 11th to July 24th, MM Mega Market is implementing a program where customers can buy a second product for only VND 8,000, with discounts of 40%-50% on family products such as electric stoves, irons, plastic boxes, food containers, thermos flasks, garbage bags, etc.

Additionally, MM Mega Market is running the "Buy More, Gain More" program for essential product categories, encouraging customers to purchase larger sizes for better pricing benefits. Until July 24th, customers also have the opportunity to purchase 6 different products at a special price when their bill reaches VND 800,000.
