Update on rice prices on 10/05/2024
Prices in the domestic market remain stable for paddy while showing a slight increase for rice products.
Paddy prices today (October 15) remain steady. Specifically:

On the export market, 100% broken rice is priced at $ 440/ton; standard rice with 5% broken rice is purchased at $ 538/ton. Meanwhile, the price of rice with 25% broken rice stands at $ 510/ton.

On the afternoon of October 14, the National Agricultural Extension Center signed a cooperation agreement with Bayer Vietnam Co., Ltd. to expand sustainable cultivation models and promote efficient and safe rice, durian, and coffee farming to enhance productivity and product quality in Vietnam by 2025.
Attending the signing ceremony were Mr Le Quoc Thanh, Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center, and Mr Kedelesara Govinda Rao Krishnamurthy, Director of the Crop Science Branch at Bayer Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The cooperation program aims to improve agricultural productivity and discover innovations in farming practices through model farms in major cultivation areas; implement integrated crop health management programs, and integrated pest management, and disseminate good agricultural practices for farmers growing rice, durian, and coffee to develop sustainable agriculture.
The two parties will also focus on cooperation to effectively implement the plan for 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice to increase rice productivity and improve rice production management in the Mekong Delta provinces by building high-quality rice production models, reducing emissions, and applying integrated pest management in durian and coffee cultivation efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
