The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding will create momentum to enhance efforts to improve the food safety system, traceability, digital transformation, and biosecurity strategy in the livestock sector.

On behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Minister Le Minh Hoan thanked Ireland for supporting staff training, particularly through the Ireland-Vietnam Cooperation Program in Agriculture and Food for the period 2023-2028 (IVAP).

Through IVAP, the Irish government awarded three scholarships worth a total of VND 2.2 billion to three Vietnamese students pursuing a master’s program in climate change, agriculture - food security, food technology, and science - engineering at Galway University.

Minister Le Minh Hoan believes that the three Vietnamese students will successfully complete their training program abroad. With the knowledge and experience gained from Ireland and their understanding of Vietnam, they will become skilled technicians, promoting the transformation of the national food system.
