Pepper prices on November 22 globally

Globally, pepper prices on November 22 remained stable.

The price of black pepper Lampung in Indonesia stood at $ 6,470/ton. The price of white pepper Muntok in the country was $ 9,055/ton.

The price of black pepper Kuching ASTA from Malaysia was $ 8,400/ton, while the white pepper ASTA from the country was priced at $ 10,500/ton.

In Brazil, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 was around $ 6,000/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper 500 g/l was trading at $ 6,200/ton, and the price for the 550 g/l type was $ 6,500/ton. Meanwhile, the export price for white pepper stood at $ 9,400/ton.

Global pepper prices today remain unchanged in all countries.

According to data from the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), the U.S. imported 9,793 tons of pepper in September, an increase of 32.8% compared to the previous month and 57.6% compared to the same period last year.

In total, in the first nine months of the year, the U.S. imported 73,087 tons of pepper, worth 365.5 million USD, a 43.3% increase in quantity and a 55.8% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

Among these, Vietnam was the largest supplier of pepper to the U.S. market, with a volume of 56,820 tons, valued at 281.3 million USD, a 42.8% increase in quantity and a 60.1% increase in value compared to the same period last year. Vietnam's share of the total U.S. pepper imports accounted for 77.7% of the volume and 77% of the value.

Pepper imports to the U.S. from other major markets also increased in the first nine months of the year, such as India up 27.5%, Indonesia up 88.5%, and Brazil up 88.8%.

Thus, global pepper prices on November 22, 2024, continue to remain stable compared to yesterday.

Pepper prices on November 22 domestically

Domestic pepper prices today, November 22, have increased compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, pepper purchases have risen to VND 140,000/kg, up by VND 500;

The price of pepper in Dak Nong has increased by VND 700, reaching VND 140,200/kg;

The price of pepper in Gia Lai has increased by VND 1,500, reaching VND 139,500/kg;

Traders in Dong Nai are buying pepper at VND 139,500/kg, up by VND 1,500;

The price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is currently VND 139,800/kg, up by VND 1,500;

Traders in Binh Phuoc are buying pepper at VND 140,000/kg, up by VND 1,500.

Thus, domestic pepper prices on November 22, 2024, are trading around VND 139,500 - 140,200/kg.
