In terms of production, India has been affected by a prolonged dry spell during June and July, which impacted the formation of pepper berries in many areas, despite a relatively good flowering period earlier. Rain persisted through September, leading to flower drop and an increase in disease rates. The monsoon is expected to bring more rainfall in the coming weeks.

In Vietnam, after a severe drought earlier this year, the onset of rain has led to a good flowering period in many areas. Weather conditions are generally favorable across most growing regions, and if these conditions persist, production is expected to increase. Sporadic rains continue in producing regions.

In Brazil, the peak harvest period is underway in both the northern and southeastern production regions. As the harvest volume increases, selling pressure also rises. However, this year’s changing rainfall patterns have negatively affected yields in both regions.
