Globally, pepper prices on November 15 continue to decline in Indonesia.
Specifically, Lampung black pepper in Indonesia dropped another 0.59%, settling at $ 6,476/ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper from Indonesia decreased by 0.58%, trading at $ 9,063/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,500/ton, while ASTA white pepper stands at $ 11,000/ton.
For Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper has declined to $ 6,000/ton, a drop of up to 5%.
In Vietnam, export prices for 500 g/l black pepper are at $ 6,200/ton, and 550 g/l black pepper is at $ 6,500/ton. Export white pepper is currently trading at $ 9,400/ton.
World pepper prices today continue to decline in Indonesia but show no new changes in other markets.
In Harris Spice's October report, the company noted a price decrease following the peak harvest season in Indonesia and Brazil. At the same time, demand remains low, with weak demand from China.
In Vietnam, after a severe drought at the beginning of the year, the onset of rains has led to a good flowering period in many areas. Overall, weather conditions have been favourable across most cultivation regions, and if good weather persists, production is expected to increase. Scattered showers continue in producing localities.

In Dong Nai, traders purchase pepper at VND 137,500/kg, down VND 500;
The price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau also dropped by VND 500, reaching VND 137,500/kg;
In Binh Phuoc, traders are buying pepper at VND 138,000/kg, down VND 1,000.
Domestic pepper prices today have slightly reversed, decreasing by VND 500 - 1,000, bringing the commodity's price below the VND 139,000/kg threshold.
Thus, on November 15, 2024, domestic pepper prices are trading around VND 137,500 - 138,500/kg.
