Latest domestic and global pepper prices on 11/12/2024
Globally, pepper prices have decreased in several regions as of November 12.
In Indonesia, the price of black pepper from Lampung dropped significantly by 2.27%, reaching $ 6,557/ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper saw a slight decrease of 0.03%, priced at $ 9,177/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,500/ton, while ASTA white pepper is trading at $ 11,000/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper has dropped to $ 6,000/ton, a decrease of 5%.
In Vietnam, the export price for 500 g/l black pepper is trading at $ 6,200/ton (down 1.61%), while the 550 g/l variety is priced at $ 6,500/ton (down 1.54%). The export price for white pepper is $ 9,400/ton (down 1.06%).
Global pepper prices today have dropped significantly in many regions, especially for black pepper. Vietnam's export pepper prices have also collectively declined after a long period of stability.
Thus, global pepper prices on 11/12/2024, show a negative trend compared to yesterday.
Domestically, pepper prices on November 12 are mostly stable compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak continues to purchase pepper at VND 141,000/kg.
In Dak Nong, prices remain steady at VND 141,200/kg.
Gia Lai maintains a price of VND 140,000/kg.
Traders in Dong Nai are still buying pepper at VND 139,000/kg.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau holds steady at VND 140,000/kg.
In Binh Phuoc, pepper prices have increased by VND 500, reaching VND 139,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today showed little fluctuation, with only a VND 500 decrease in Binh Phuoc while remaining stable in other key regions.
According to Mr. Le Viet Anh, Chief of the Office of the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPSA), Vietnam’s pepper exports in October reached over 18,000 tons, valued at $ 120 million. Cumulatively, in the first 10 months of the year, pepper exports have returned to the $ 1 billion mark, with a revenue of $ 1.11 billion.
The last time pepper exports exceeded $ 1 billion was in 2017, reaching $ 1.12 billion.
