Live pig prices on December 16 in the North

The live pig market in the northern region remains stable compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, VND 65,000/kg is still the highest price in the region and is being traded in Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, and Hanoi.

Traders in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, and Ninh Binh are still buying at VND 63,000/kg, the lowest price in the region.

Thus, the live pig prices in the northern region on December 16, 2024, are trading at VND 63,000 - 65,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remains stable compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pigs in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Lam Dong, and Binh Thuan is VND 64,000/kg, the highest buying price in the region.

Other localities continue to trade at VND 62,000 - 63,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands regions on December 16, 2024, are trading around VND 62,000 - 64,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Southern region remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pigs in Hau Giang, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh, and Ben Tre is trading at VND 62,000/kg, the lowest in the region.

Traders in Kien Giang and Soc Trang continue to buy at VND 63,000/kg.

Other localities are still holding the price of pigs at VND 64,000/kg, the highest in the region.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Southern region on December 16, 2024, are trading in the range of VND 62,000 - 64,000/kg.

Kien Giang continues to seek ways to develop the livestock industry.

In order to develop a sustainable livestock industry, in addition to the Livestock Development Project, the People's Committee of Kien Giang province has also issued a plan to implement the livestock development strategy for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2045.

Along with this, there is a plan to implement the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regarding areas where livestock farming is not allowed, the policy to support the relocation of livestock facilities out of prohibited areas and areas for bird's nest farming in the province.

The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kien Giang, Mr Le Huu Toan, stated that he has directed and assigned specific tasks to relevant units to promote the implementation of the contents related to the above-mentioned Livestock Project and development plan.
