Live pig prices on December 14 in the North

The live pig market in the Northern region remains steady compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, the price of live pigs in Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang, and Ha Noi is holding steady at VND 65,000/kg, the highest trading price in the country.

Other areas continue to buy pigs at VND 63,000 - 64,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Northern region on December 14, 2024 are trading at VND 63,000 - 65,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of live pigs in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Lam Dong, and Binh Thuan remains at VND 64,000/kg, the highest in the region.

Traders in Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, and Khanh Hoa continue to buy at VND 62,000/kg, the lowest in the region.

Prices in other localities continue to trade at VND 63,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig price in the Central and Central Highlands regions on December 14, 2024, is being purchased at around VND 61,000 - 64,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Southern region shows little fluctuation compared to yesterday.

Specifically, only Dong Thap saw an increase of VND 1,000, with prices rising to VND 64,000/kg.

Currently, VND 62,000/kg is the lowest price in the region, being recorded in Hau Giang.

Apart from traders in Kien Giang and Soc Trang, who maintain prices at VND 63,000/kg, prices in other localities remain steady at VND 64,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig price in the Southern region on December 14, 2024, is being traded within the range of VND 62,000 - 64,000/kg.

Nghe An livestock sector continues to effectively implement breeding efforts

In 2024, the Nghe An Livestock Breeding Center continued to carry out effective breeding activities for buffaloes and cattle through two methods: applying artificial insemination in lowland and hilly areas, and direct mating in high mountainous regions.

According to province-wide statistics, 22,392 doses of American Brahman crossbreed cattle semen, 9,903 doses of Australian Brahman crossbreed semen, 13,950 doses of BBB cattle semen, and 4,000 doses of buffalo semen were used for AI, achieving 100% of the plan.
