Live pig prices on November 5 in the North

The live pig market in the North has seen a slight increase compared to yesterday.

Accordingly, the pig prices in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang have all risen by VND 1,000, trading at VND 63,000/kg.

Similarly, traders in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have also increased their purchasing price to VND 62,000/kg.

Other localities have maintained the same prices as yesterday.

Thus, the live pig prices in the North on 11/05/2024, are trading at levels of VND 61,000 - 64,000/kg.

Live pig prices on November 5 in the Central and Central Highlands

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions has also seen a slight increase compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the prices in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An have both risen to VND 62,000/kg, after an increase of VND 1,000.

Other localities are trading at levels of VND 58,000 - 61,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands on 11/05/2024, are being purchased around VND 58,000 - 62,000/kg.

The live pig market in the South has shown little fluctuation compared to yesterday.

In this case, only the price of pigs in Ben Tre has increased by VND 1,000, trading at VND 60,000/kg.

Meanwhile, traders in Dong Thap, Can Tho, and Soc Trang continue to purchase at VND 62,000/kg - the highest in the region.

Prices in other localities remain unchanged.

Thus, the live pig prices in the South on 11/05/2024, are trading in the range of VND 59,000 - 62,000/kg.

Binh Dinh: Hoai An pigs are famous near and far

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vuong, Director of the Hoai An Agricultural Service Center, there are currently 40 large-scale pig farming farms in the district, including 5 farms using high-tech farming methods and 1,926 medium and small farms. Additionally, there are 12,000 households raising pigs in Hoai An.

It can be said that in Hoai An, almost every household raises pigs; some farmers, like the Phu Hung farm in An My commune (Hoai An district), raise up to 2,600 breeding sows and 5,000 fattening pigs, while smaller households raise a few dozen pigs.
