Coffee prices on the global market rose sharply across both the London and New York exchanges.
On the London exchange, Robusta coffee for September 2025 delivery surged by $ 255 (equivalent to 6.14%), reaching $ 4,410/ton. Meanwhile, the November 2025 contract jumped by $ 248 (equivalent to 6.17%), to $ 4,268/ton.
On the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for September 2025 delivery gained 12.60 cents (equivalent to 3.67%), to 356.20 cents/lb. The December 2025 contract also increased strongly by 13 cents (equivalent to 3.87%), at 349.05 cents/lb.

Coffee prices were supported by concerns over tighter supply in the U.S. after a 50% tariff was imposed on exports from Brazil, reducing imports from the largest supplier.
In addition, unfavourable weather in Brazil, including cold air and frost, could affect both the current output and the 2026 crop. This has pushed New York Arabica futures to a two-month high and the longest rally since April.

According to Coffee Trading Academy, Brazil’s arabica and robusta production in the 2025/26 season is expected to reach 63.9 million bags, down 2.1% from last year. Cooxupe reported that as of August 15, farmers had harvested 86.1% of the crop, up from 80.4% the previous week.

In Dak Nong (Lam Dong province), traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap are trading at VND 120,300/kg and VND 120,200/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong is trading at VND 120,000/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai remain at VND 120,000/kg.
The purchase price of coffee in Kon Tum (Quang Ngai province) today is VND 120,000/kg.
Domestic coffee prices today also surged in line with the London exchange, rising by as much as VND 3,000. Thanks to this, the commodity has reached the milestone of VND 120,000/kg.
