Truong Sa - this sacred name is deeply engraved in the hearts of every Vietnamese. It is not only a location on the frontline of the waves but also a symbol of indomitable spirit, resilience, and passionate love for the homeland. Every grain of sand and cresting wave echoes the legend of sovereignty and the steadfast soldiers who guard the nation’s sea and sky.
When the first soldiers of the Viet Nam People’s Army set foot on the Truong Sa islands in late April 1975, the surroundings consisted mostly of wind, sand, and seagulls. Many islands were barren, exposed to the harsh sun, and there was not a single tree in sight.

Several movements to create a green ecosystem in Truong Sa were initiated in that context. One of the most notable ones was the “Greening Truong Sa” program implemented by the Navy Command. Over the four years from 2021 to 2025, soldiers and civilians on the islands planted approximately 90,000 trees. Yet, the Navy Command, its officers, soldiers, and the people of Viet Nam shared a greater aspiration to multiply that effort many times. Thus, the HiGreen Truong Sa program was born.
Launched in April 2025, HiGreen Truong Sa seeks to mobilize community support and plant one million trees across the Truong Sa islands in Khanh Hoa Province. The program is expected to protect island ecosystems, prevent erosion, reduce natural disasters, and improve living conditions for soldiers and residents stationed on the nation's frontline islands.

Beyond its environmental impact, HiGreen Truong Sa aligns with three of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, which include improving health and quality of life, taking climate action, and conserving marine resources and the environment. The program also supports the objectives set out in Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW on the development of Khanh Hoa province toward 2030, with a vision toward 2045.
Each tree planted in Truong Sa enhances the environment for soldiers and residents and stands as a symbol of national sovereignty, resilience, and Viet Nam's enduring strength amid the vast sea.
Recognizing the program’s significance, T&T Group, under entrepreneur Do Quang Hien, contributed VND 5 billion to the campaign. This donation is vital in helping the Navy Command keep the project on schedule while promoting sustainable values for the nation. It is also a gesture of gratitude to the island soldiers and residents on the frontline, reaffirming the commitment of Vietnamese private enterprises to the Government’s green development journey and Net Zero goals.
T&T Group and other enterprise in Do Quang Hien’s business ecosystem have long expressed their deep affection for the country’s sea and islands, even before joining the HiGreen Truong Sa program. For many consecutive years, T&T Group has accompanied “Spring in Truong Sa”, a meaningful initiative jointly organized by the Navy Command, Viet Nam Television, and the Communist Party of Viet Nam Online Newspaper.

In 2021, marking the 46th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, “Bau Hien” and a T&T Group delegation visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers stationed on Hon Khoai island (Ca Mau). The group donated equipment and cash with a total value of nearly VND 3 billion.
In 2024, through the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, T&T Group donated another VND 1 billion to support soldiers and residents of Truong Sa District and the DK-1 rigs. The funds were used to build housing and install seawater filtration systems to provide clean drinking water for those stationed offshore.
Beyond its contributions to island communities, T&T Group consistently supports the Party, State, and Government’s policies by actively participating in social responsibility initiatives, spreading humanitarian values, and promoting Viet Nam’s cultural and philanthropic traditions.
With its practical and timely contribution to the program of planting one million trees for “a Greener Truong Sa”, T&T Group and Do Quang Hien once again affirm their spirit of “business intertwined with social service”, a principle the group has followed throughout its journey of growth. This is also a testament to the strategic vision of a private economic corporation that develops business hand in hand with social contribution, accompanying the nation toward a greener, more sustainable, and prosperous future.
