From the 22nd - 26th October, Lao Cai 2020 Trade Fair for Agricultural and OCOP products in the North, co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Lao Cai Provincial People’s Committee, will be held at the Kim Thanh exhibition center, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province.

The fair aims to promote OCOP products, high quality and prestige Vietnamese agricultural, forestry and aqua-cultural products, specialties and handicraft products of Northern provinces. Thereby, it will support the implementation of One Commune, One Product (OCOP) program during the 2018 – 2020 period with the vision to 2030, and create opportunities for provinces to advertise and introduce their potential and advantages in agriculture, rural tourism, and the new rural development program.

The trade fair is an occasion for research institutes and businesses to display, introduce and promote advanced technologies in seed production, processing, preserving, packaging, origin tracing of agricultural and food products; and advanced production models.

This will encourage enterprises, businesses and co-operatives to invest in the application of advanced technologies and organic production, contributing to the establishment and development of sustainable agricultural value chains.

Besides, the fair offers opportunities for businesses and agricultural cooperatives in the North to directly exchange with dealers and processors of agricultural products nationwide.

There will be 2 exhibition venues and 318 stalls. Of which, there are 80 stalls displaying and introducing agricultural products and OCOP products of Lao Cai. Another 80 stalls are for agricultural and OCOP products of other provinces. 20 stalls are for showcasing advanced science and technology for production; 90 stalls are for commercial activities and the remaining 30 stalls are for the food court.

During the fair, a forum on the production and marketing of OCOP products for export will be organized. There will also be marketing and trade promotion activities for agricultural and OCOP products.

Opening hours are 8:00 - 22:00 daily.
