The Asian Technology Excellence Awards (ATEA) is an annual event organized by Asian Business Review to honor breakthrough technology innovations shaping Asia’s future. The award recognizes technological projects that deliver measurable outcomes, address critical challenges, and drive meaningful progress across multiple fields.

In the Digital - Food Manufacturing category, Vinamilk was the only dairy company recognized for its dual breakthrough: ultrafiltration technology and 4.0 milk quality inspection system. As noted by Asian Business Review, this milestone makes Vinamilk the first dairy company in Southeast Asia to fully digitize both its production processes and input sourcing.
Among these innovations, ultrafiltration technology, pioneered by Vinamilk on a regional scale, directly responds to the global rise of high-protein fresh milk. Originating from advanced European processing techniques, this technology separates protein, calcium, and lactose at the molecular level and selectively rebalances them to create optimized nutritional composition suited to increasingly personalized consumer needs.

Thanks to this technology, although made entirely from fresh milk without adding whey protein, each 250ml carton of Vinamilk Green Farm High-Protein contains 12.5g of natural protein - 65% more than conventional UHT milk, with 30% more calcium and 60% less fat. Another highlight is that the physical filtration membrane removes lactose, making the product suitable for people with sensitive digestion.
This product is considered a superior nutritional solution for those who actively care for their health through their daily diet, including adults needing physical nourishment, women during pregnancy, people who exercise regularly, and children in their developmental stages.
“Vinamilk Green Farm High-Protein is our statement on future-oriented nutrition, where nutrition is not only about good health, but also tailored to one’s needs, preferences, and lifestyle,” said Nguyen Quang Tri, Chief Marketing Officer of Vinamilk.

In parallel, Vinamilk has implemented a high-sensitivity milk quality inspection system that monitors quality in real time throughout all production periods. Instead of changing the entire production process, it applies a targeted improvement model to identify and resolve quality issues at specific points. This approach guarantees consistently high-quality milk inputs, which is the decisive foundation for advanced processing technologies such as ultrafiltration.
“These innovations are especially significant given Vinamilk’s scale and global influence,” noted Asian Business Review. Vinamilk is currently the largest dairy producer in Southeast Asia, operating 15 farms certified to international standards such as Global S.L.P. and Organic EU, managing more than 130,000 dairy cows, and producing over 1.1 million liters of fresh milk per day.

Vinamilk’s recognition at ATEA 2025 not only affirms the regional dairy giant’s technological innovation capacity but also highlights the foundation behind the international achievements of Vinamilk Green Farm High-Protein. The product has earned top global awards for taste, safety, and purity, including the Gold Award (Monde Selection – Belgium), the Superior Taste Award (Belgium), and the Purity Award from the USA.
Vinamilk’s global footprint reflects nearly 30 years of export experience, with products available in 65 countries. It is one of the few Vietnamese companies to own international manufacturing facilities (in the US and Cambodia) and overseas dairy farms (in Laos). With a diverse portfolio of over 300 SKUs, Vinamilk’s products have earned prestigious safety and purity awards in both the US and Europe, reinforcing its reputation for quality and innovation on a global scale.
Founded in the aftermath of war with the mission that “every Vietnamese child has the right to access high-quality nutrition”, Vinamilk has grown into a global dairy powerhouse. In 2025, it was named amongst the Top 10 most valuable dairy brands worldwide by Brand Finance UK, and remains the only Southeast Asian representative on the list.
Beyond innovation, Vinamilk is also a pioneer in sustainable development, actively participating in the global dairy industry’s Net Zero 2050 initiative, reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility and long-term impact.
