The Vietfish 2024 exhibition, organized by the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), is recognized as the largest annual seafood event in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, marking 25 years of growth for the domestic seafood industry. This year's event features over 280 exhibitors and 496 booths from Vietnam and 15 other countries.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien emphasized that Vietfish 2024 will play a crucial role in connecting seafood export businesses, promoting trade, expanding the domestic market, and finding partners. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's leadership also believes that developing the domestic market is essential to balance supply - demand and reduce reliance on exports.
“This exhibition not only provides an opportunity for seafood businesses to promote trade but also affirms the quality and position of Vietnamese seafood in the international market. In 2024, the Vietnamese seafood industry aims to achieve an export value of 10 billion USD”, emphasized Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien.
After many years of supporting the seafood industry, the Vietfish exhibition has become a leading event, promoting connections and trade, helping businesses expand their markets and stay updated with the latest advancements in the industry.
At the event, numerous trade activities, contract signings and strategic collaborations in the fields of aquaculture and seafood processing took place. This year, the exhibition featured the participation of many countries supplying international seafood, including the United States with its renowned Alaska salmon, as well as products from Indonesia, India, Russia, Japan and China.

To date, Vietnamese seafood has been exported to over 170 countries and territories, with products available in major and reputable supermarkets worldwide, including in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Japan and China.
The theme of the 25th Vietfish Exhibition in 2024 is "Export Seafood for Vietnamese Consumers", aiming to introduce export products to the domestic market and contribute to the growth of the promising F&B industry in Vietnam.
The organizers also announced that, to meet the demand for showcasing and promoting products from various businesses, this year’s exhibition has expanded its space from 10.000m² to 14.000m². The exhibition is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM from August 21 to 23, 2024 and is expected to attract around 17.000 visitors.
