When Vietnam’s livestock sector is setting a growth target of over 6% by 2026, the need to identify new drivers for sustainable development is becoming more urgent than ever.

In recent years, the livestock sector has maintained a growth rate of 4-6%, reflecting major efforts in applying science and technology, renewing management models, and improving production quality. However, to achieve a stronger breakthrough, the presence, connectivity, and trade participation of Vietnamese enterprises in international forums are considered essential.
According to Pham Kim Dang, Deputy Director General of the Department of Animal Health and Production (DAHP), most of today’s advanced global technologies are already present in Vietnam. He emphasized that these technologies not only support livestock management and disease prevention but also enhance the quality of feed, veterinary medicine, vaccines, housing systems, and food safety and biosecurity standards. “The application of high technology has played a crucial role in the sustainable development of the livestock industry,” he noted.
Alongside continued technological upgrading and genetic improvement, the agricultural sector recognizes the need for a stronger platform for international connectivity. This is why the introduction of the Vietnam Pavilion at ILDEX Vietnam 2026 is viewed as a strategic highlight. It is not only an exhibition space but also a venue to showcase achievements, share management experience, and expand cooperation opportunities with international partners across the entire livestock value chain.

Mr. Dang said that DAHP has proposed that the ILDEX Vietnam 2026 organizers establish a dedicated showcase pavilion for Vietnamese enterprises. “The purpose of an international exhibition is to exchange advanced technologies, share management experience, and seek cooperation agreements. Therefore, the establishment of a Vietnam Pavilion will help promote achievements, introduce outstanding technologies, and enhance the visibility of Vietnamese enterprises in the eyes of international partners,” he emphasized.
Mr. Pham Kim Dang noted: “ILDEX Vietnam 2026 is truly a global stage, and the Vietnam Pavilion will serve as the symbol of Vietnam’s livestock sector, new technologies, and aspirations for international integration." This is a strong expectation from the state management agency regarding the leading role of the national pavilion.
The year 2026 also marks a special milestone: 10 years of ILDEX Vietnam’s presence in Vietnam. Alongside national pavilions from the United States, Europe, China, South Korea, and others, the Vietnam Pavilion is expected to clearly showcase the country’s ambition for innovation and its efforts to elevate the standing of Vietnamese agriculture on the global map.
ILDEX Vietnam 2026 will gather more than 250 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from 40 countries. Among them, the Vietnam Pavilion is considered the centerpiece of the event, positioning Vietnamese enterprises at the heart of a global connectivity network. This is also an opportunity for domestic businesses to directly access advanced livestock technologies from 40 countries across the sectors of livestock production, aquaculture, meat, dairy, and processing.

In addition to promoting products, the Vietnam Pavilion also helps Vietnamese enterprises grasp new trends, build strategic partnerships, expand markets, and enhance competitiveness. It serves as an important bridge that supports domestic businesses in strengthening their capacity to participate more deeply in global supply chains, creating momentum for the sector’s growth targets.
With the foundation already established, the Vietnam Pavilion 2026 is expected to become an important “catalyst,” helping affirm the capability, image, and position of Vietnamese livestock enterprises in a period of deep international integration. It will provide a springboard for domestic businesses to expand markets, elevate their brands, and promote the sustainable development of the livestock industry in the future.
The Vietnam Pavilion 2026 is professionally supported by the Department of Animal Health and Production (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment); with media sponsorship from VAN News; and accompanied by major industry associations, including the Vietnam Poultry Association, the Vietnam Livestock Association, the Vietnam Veterinary Association, the Vietnam Large Ruminant Association, along with a wide range of leading enterprises in the sector.
