The launch ceremony for World Environment Day 2026 saw the coordinated participation of Nghi Son 2 Power LLC, Nghi Son Ward People's Committee, the Border Guard Command of Nghi Son Port Border Gate, Oldendorff Company, along with officials, women's union members, youth union members, students and a large number of residents in Nghi Son ward.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Michael W. Savidge, Deputy General Director of Nghi Son 2 Power LLC, stated that this is an activity the company consistently coordinates with local authorities to organize annually. It not only holds significance for local environmental protection but also demonstrates responsibility towards the international community.
At the launch event, Nghi Son 2 Power LLC donated 490 waste bins to Nghi Son ward, contributing to raising public awareness and joining hands to make Nghi Son green, clean and beautiful.
Right after the launch ceremony, a large number of officials, union members, armed forces, students, and residents set out to collect trash and clean up the beach area in the Ngoc Son neighborhood, Nghi Son ward, contributing to making the environment progressively cleaner.
