TH group: Momentum from precision agriculture and circular economy

(VAN) TH Group’s $250 million mega project in southern Vietnam is becoming a strategic link in its ambition to be a “trusted homemaker” for Vietnamese consumers.

A formula to elevate national capacity

As Viet Nam accelerates its national strategy to take control of the dairy and food value chain by 2045, a major industrial milestone has been established in the country’s southern economic hub. TH Group, one of Viet Nam’s leading producers of clean food, has officially broken ground on the TH Binh Duong Clean Food Processing Plant - a project signaling a strong shift from a raw agricultural exporter to a high-tech, deep-processing competitor in the global market.

Located in Song Than 3 Industrial Park, the facility represents an investment of over VND 6 trillion (more than USD 250 million). Covering 10 hectares and designed to process nearly 1 million tons of products per year, it is considered one of the most advanced clean dairy, beverage, and food processing projects in the region.

Within its closed-loop high-tech production chain, TH Group maintains strict control “from green pastures to fresh milk”, from breeding and farming to the TH true mart retail system and a global partner network.

Rooted in a commitment to authenticity and a consistent focus on sustainable development since its founding, TH Group has built strong brand trust over more than 15 years - one of the most valuable assets in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Many of its products have been repeatedly recognized as National Brands.

For Thai Huong, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC), Founder and Chairwoman of the Strategic Council of TH Group, the project embodies a “simple formula” to strengthen national capacity - the key to Viet Nam’s agricultural development: “a combination of Vietnamese intellect, Vietnamese natural resources, and the world’s most advanced technologies.” In the era of AI and digital transformation, the plant serves as a “strategic link” connecting precision agriculture directly from farm to the global consumer’s table.

From farms to global markets

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc noted that TH’s development model - based on sustainability, environmental protection, and the application of science and technology - is exactly what modern urban economies seek to promote.

The Binh Duong project is not just a standalone factory but a critical piece of infrastructure to realize the goals of Viet Nam’s dairy industry development strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045: achieving 85% self-sufficiency in fresh milk and per capita consumption of 100 liters per year. Instead of exporting low-value raw materials, the TH Binh Duong plant focuses on high-value, deeply processed products that meet the most stringent international standards.

Operating under a circular economy model with advanced filling and packaging technologies, TH’s products carry a “passport” to overcome technical barriers in developed markets. The plant is equipped with automation technologies from leading global corporations, including GEA and Tetra Pak, ensuring the highest food safety standards required by the U.S. and Europe.

Beyond dairy processing, the complex also focuses on ready-to-eat foods and health-oriented beverages, fast-growing segments of the global F&B industry that are recording double-digit growth rates.

Strategically located in the southern “industrial hub”, the plant enables TH to optimize its supply chain by channeling raw materials from its expanding farms in Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and An Giang directly into modern processing lines, thereby shortening the distance to both domestic and international markets.

Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City stated that the project of TH Binh Duong Clean Food Processing Plant plays a practical role in ensuring a safe food supply, stabilizing prices, and meeting the growing demand of residents in the city and the southern region. Photo: TH.

The TH Binh Duong Clean Food Processing Plant represents the next step in completing TH’s integrated production ecosystem, spanning high-tech agriculture to clean food processing.

This complex not only strengthens its core fresh milk platform but also expands into clean food production, creating high-value-added products, enhancing the value of agricultural goods, and delivering high-quality, transparent, and trustworthy nutrition to consumers. It contributes to the development of a precision agriculture–processing–modern distribution value chain, creates jobs, and supports economic growth and social welfare, not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also in remote and highland areas, helping farmers improve livelihoods and move toward sustainable prosperity.

“Each TH product in general, and those from the TH Binh Duong plant in particular, not only delivers optimal nutritional value but also symbolizes a heartfelt expression of gratitude, an embodiment of enduring cultural values passed down through generations, guiding TH in fulfilling its mission as a ‘trusted homemaker’, for public health, for a strong Viet Nam, and for the stature of the Vietnamese people,” Labour Hero Thai Huong shared at the groundbreaking ceremony in early March 2026.
