In his opening remarks, Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that despite continued uncertainties in both the domestic and global economies, the province has maintained positive growth momentum. In the first six months of 2026, Tay Ninh's GRDP increased by 10.12%, ranking eighth nationwide and first in the Southeast region. The industrial production index rose 15.14%, while the digital economy is projected to account for approximately 12% of the province's GRDP.
State budget revenue exceeded VND 36.7 trillion, accounting for 60% of the Central Government's annual target. Meanwhile, the disbursement rate of public investment capital reached 43% of the annual plan, surpassing the national average.

Investment attraction remains Tay Ninh's bright spot, as Tay Ninh licensed 73 new domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of approximately VND 36.6 trillion, alongside 70 FDI projects with total newly registered and adjusted capital of over USD 2.2 billion. To date, Tay Ninh has had more than 3,170 active domestic investment projects and over 2,050 valid FDI projects. The province has also been recognized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) as one of the three localities with the most outstanding reforms throughout the 21-year Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) journey, while ranking among the Top 10 destinations most attractive to large enterprises for two consecutive years.
According to Mr. Huynh Van Son, industry will continue to serve as the province's key growth driver. By 2030, Tay Ninh aims to develop 100 industrial parks and 108 industrial clusters, while preparing more than 1,500 hectares of cleared land ready for investors. Priority will be given to projects in high technology, green industry, the circular economy, artificial intelligence (AI), and renewable energy, while promoting the synchronized development of urban infrastructure, services, and a network of satellite cities linked to Ho Chi Minh City.
Alongside industrial development, Tay Ninh is accelerating the exploitation of its potential in ecotourism, spiritual tourism, historical tourism, and resort tourism. The province is also promoting high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, and the circular economy. Many programs are being implemented, including the development of high-quality, low-emission rice areas, the establishment of a carbon credit market, forest carbon stock assessments, biochar production from cassava stems, and the application of AI in natural resources and environmental management.
"Tay Ninh is shifting from extensive investment attraction to a quality-driven approach, selecting projects based on technology, efficiency, and sustainable development," Mr. Huynh Van Son emphasized.

Mr. Trinh Van Hai, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Business Association, said the seminar was not only a forum for discussions on green development and high-quality investment attraction but also a platform connecting government authorities, experts, businesses, and investors to share visions and shape new development pathways.
According to Mr. Hai, green development has become an inevitable requirement. Investors today are no longer focused solely on land funds, infrastructure, or costs but also place high value on localities with long-term strategic vision, a transparent investment environment, government engagement, and a sufficiently robust ecosystem to ensure sustainable capital flows. Tay Ninh’s goal is not only to attract investment but also to build a smart, green investment ecosystem deeply integrated into regional value chains.

Assessing the province's development prospects, Prof. Vu Minh Khuong, an economist and public policy expert at the National University of Singapore, said that following its merger with Long An, Tay Ninh now possesses favorable conditions to emerge as a pioneering locality in this new development phase. Based on field surveys at industrial zones and the province’s development orientation, Tay Ninh is fairly well prepared in terms of vision, determination, and implementation capacity.
The province should focus on three major directions, including shifting from advantages in land and labor to advantages in innovation and science-technology; building a comprehensive industrial ecosystem linked with logistics, innovation, and global supply chains; and leveraging its connectivity with Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, and Cambodia to form a new growth corridor for the Southeast region.
"Tay Ninh is choosing the right development path. The important thing is turning potential into competitiveness and substantial development outcomes," Prof. Vu Minh Khuong emphasized.

In his closing remarks at the seminar, Mr. Huynh Van Son said the province will urgently finalize action programs on green transition, the circular economy, and carbon credit development, while incorporating expert recommendations into concrete tasks, solutions, and implementation roadmaps.
Tay Ninh will continue to improve its investment environment and improve the quality of planning, as well as infrastructure in industrial parks and clusters. The province will also prepare cleared land funds, develop human resources, and establish transparent support mechanisms to attract large-scale, high-tech, and environmentally friendly projects. The province aims to prioritize quality, added value, and ESG standards as key criteria, with the goal of becoming a destination for responsible investment flows and sustainable growth.
