The project aims to build a closed-loop agricultural value chain that is efficient, sustainable, and environmentally friendly, one in which resources are optimally utilized and continuously recycled.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, local department and agency leaders, the Tan Hoi Commune People's Committee, as well as representatives from De Heus Viet Nam, Den Ouden GrowSolutions, and partners across the value chain.

The Den Ouden GrowSolutions organic fertilizer factory will be built on a 50,000 m² site within the Tan Hoi 2 Industrial Cluster, Tan Hoi Commune, Tay Ninh Province, with a total investment of over VND 827 billion and an annual production capacity of approximately 70,000 tonnes.
The factory will focus on producing high-quality soil improvement and organic crop care products derived from agricultural by-products, particularly poultry manure, a raw material previously regarded as waste. It will develop and supply organic soil improvement solutions for agriculture, fruit cultivation, and ornamental flower production.
Through effective recycling and processing, the project helps transform livestock waste into valuable resources while minimizing environmental impact, improving soil fertility, and boosting crop yields.
The factory is expected to begin operations in 2027. Den Ouden GrowSolutions LLC will be responsible for managing all processing, production, and domestic distribution activities under the GrowSolutions brand. De Heus and its farming partners will supply the raw poultry manure to the factory.
Domestic organic fertilizer production will shorten supply lead times, enhance supply chain stability, and ensure consistent product quality for Vietnamese poultry farmers, while also reducing foreign currency expenditure on imports.
As global demand for sustainable agriculture continues to grow, the factory will play a key role in bridging the livestock and crop farming sectors. Manure and livestock waste from De Heus's extensive network of farming partners will be converted into valuable fertilizer products, contributing to a more sustainable circular agricultural system.

The project is in Tay Ninh, a region with strong agricultural development potential and favorable conditions for integrated production chains. Tay Ninh is also a key hub of the De Heus and Hung Nhon value chain, where high-tech agricultural complexes are being developed systematically. This foundation will help drive the circular agriculture model, enhance added value, and support long-term sustainable development across the entire value chain.
De Heus Group is a pioneer in animal nutrition and sustainable agricultural solutions, particularly in advancing the circular economy through the reuse of livestock by-products.

Den Ouden Group, meanwhile, brings decades of experience in organic fertilizer production, biostimulants, soil improvement, and biological solution development. The combination of Den Ouden's technological capabilities and De Heus's deep expertise in livestock systems and sustainable agricultural production is expected to deliver practical, locally adapted solutions that align with global trends in green and sustainable agriculture.
The participation of value chain partners in supplying raw materials from the livestock system further strengthens this collaboration. The close integration between all parties forms a fully closed production model, tightly linking livestock farming, by-product processing, and fertilizer manufacturing. In doing so, the project not only adds sustainable value across the entire agricultural chain but also improves production efficiency and increases poultry farmers' incomes.

Mr. Jeroen den Ouden, CEO of Den Ouden Group, emphasized: " With our international expertise in organic fertilizers, biostimulants, and soil improvement, we are confident that our collaboration with De Heus and local partners in Viet Nam will deliver practical, locally suited solutions that contribute to healthy soils, advance circular agriculture, and support long-term sustainable development."."
Mr. Gabor Fluit, Group CEO of Royal De Heus shared: “We believe that the future of agriculture lies in the efficient use of resources and the reduction of emissions. This joint venture with Den Ouden Group demonstrates De Heus’ commitment to advancing a circular economy—transforming livestock by-products into new sources of value. At the same time, we continue to work closely with poultry farmers, supporting them with sustainable solutions that enhance productivity while reducing environmental impact. Together, these efforts contribute to the long-term development of Viet Nam’s agricultural sector”.

Mr. Huynh Van Son, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, stated: “2026 holds particularly important significance as it marks the starting point for the 2026–2030 development phase. The province has set a target of achieving double-digit growth, accelerating the development of industry, services, and high-tech agriculture, and gradually becoming a strategic connectivity hub for the region.
Once completed, the Den Ouden organic fertilizer plant project will become an important link in the De Heus – Hung Nhon joint venture chain in Tay Ninh. To date, De Heus and Hung Nhon have implemented 13 projects with a total investment of approximately VND 13,100 billion, step by step forming a modern livestock – processing – export ecosystem, contributing to the promotion of green, sustainable agricultural development and enhancing the value of the province’s agricultural products.”
Den Ouden GrowSolutions is part of the family-owned Den Ouden Group from Schijndel, the Netherlands. For three generations, the company has been working towards creating a liveable environment for future generations. This is achieved through the development of public spaces and by creating circular solutions for healthy soils.
