Updated rubber prices on December 12, 2024
Global rubber tapping has gradually slowed, and the supply-demand imbalance this year is unlikely to change.
According to data from China's General Administration of Customs, China imported a total of 712,000 tons of natural and synthetic rubber (including latex rubber) in November, up by 3.9% compared to 685,000 tons in the same period last year. This marks the second consecutive month of growth for this market.
However, from January to November, China imported a total of 6.5 million tons of natural and synthetic rubber, a 10.1% decrease compared to 7.3 million tons in the same period of 2023.
Policymakers stated that China will adopt a "moderately loose" monetary policy and "more proactive" fiscal measures.
However, according to published data, China's rubber exports sharply declined, and imports unexpectedly fell in November, a concerning sign for the world's second-largest economy as U.S. President-elect Donald Trump is set to return to the White House.
Thus, global rubber prices on December 12, 2024, showed mixed movements compared to the previous day.
In the domestic market, rubber prices remained stable compared to yesterday.
According to the latest listed prices, the price of raw rubber at Mang Yang Company remains at VND 434 - 438/TSC; while frozen rubber with mixed quality is purchased at around VND 387 - 441/DRC.
At Ba Ria Rubber Company, the purchase price of latex rubber is between VND 444 - 454/TSC, and frozen rubber with 35-44% DRC is priced at VND 13,500/kg; raw rubber is priced at VND 16,700 - 18,000/kg.
The latest prices from Phu Rieng Rubber Company fluctuate between VND 425/DRC for mixed rubber and VND 465/TSC for latex rubber.
