Latest rice prices update on December 17, 2024
The rice market on December 17 shows stability for both rice and paddy prices.
Paddy prices today (December 17) remain stable, with minimal changes, but the trading volume is still slow, and the demand is low.
In Soc Trang, paddy trading is stagnant, with prices holding steady. In Tien Giang, trading is slow, and the prices offered by buyers are low, with most paddy transactions happening as collateral.
Similarly, rice prices today (December 17) also remain stable, with minimal price changes and limited supply.
In Sa Dec and Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the rice supply is low, and large warehouses have either reduced their purchases or halted them. At the Sa Dec market, warehouses are buying sporadically, while rice prices across various categories remain unchanged.
On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is at $ 405/ton; standard 5% broken rice is being purchased at $ 509/ton. Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice is at $ 477/ton.
Thus, the rice prices today, December 17, 2024, show little change compared to yesterday.
