Rice prices on December 17 domestically

The rice market on December 17 shows stability for both rice and paddy prices.

Paddy prices today (December 17) remain stable, with minimal changes, but the trading volume is still slow, and the demand is low.

In Soc Trang, paddy trading is stagnant, with prices holding steady. In Tien Giang, trading is slow, and the prices offered by buyers are low, with most paddy transactions happening as collateral.

  • Sticky rice IR 4625 (fresh) is priced at VND 8,100 - 8,200; 3-month sticky rice (fresh) is at VND 8,100 - 8,300.
  • IR 50404 paddy is around VND 7,600 - 7,800; Dai Thom 8 paddy is steady at VND 9,100 - 9,200.
  • OM 5451 paddy trades at VND 8,600 - 8,800; OM 18 is priced at VND 9,000 - 9,100.
  • OM 380 paddy remains around VND 7,200; Japanese paddy is at VND 7,800 - 8,000.
  • Nang Nhen (dry) paddy is priced at VND 20,000; Nang Hoa 9 is at VND 9,200 - 9,400.

Similarly, rice prices today (December 17) also remain stable, with minimal price changes and limited supply.

In Sa Dec and Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the rice supply is low, and large warehouses have either reduced their purchases or halted them. At the Sa Dec market, warehouses are buying sporadically, while rice prices across various categories remain unchanged.

  • IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice is priced at VND 9,700 - 9,800; finished IR 504 rice is at VND 12,000 - 12,200.
  • Sticky rice core prices range from VND 18,000 - 22,000; standard rice is priced at VND 17,000 - 18,000; Nang Nhen rice is at VND 28,000.
  • Long-grain fragrant Thai rice is at VND 20,000 - 22,000; Jasmine fragrant rice is at VND 17,000 - 18,000; Huong Lai rice remains steady at VND 22,000.
  • Common white rice is purchased at VND 17,500; Nang Hoa rice is priced at VND 21,500; Soc ordinary rice remains at VND 18,500; Soc Thai rice is at VND 21,000.
  • Fragrant Taiwanese rice is priced at VND 21,000, while Japanese rice is at VND 22,500.
  • OM 5451 broken rice is at VND 8,800 - 8,900; dried bran is priced at VND 5,700 - 5,800.

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is at $ 405/ton; standard 5% broken rice is being purchased at $ 509/ton. Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice is at $ 477/ton.

Thus, the rice prices today, December 17, 2024, show little change compared to yesterday.
