Hanoi Livestock Breeding Joint Stock Company is a science and technology enterprise under the Hanoi City People's Committee with the task of caring for and breeding original and core livestock herds and providing breeding services and farming techniques.
Hanoi Livestock Breeding Company has mastered the technology of producing pure 3B cow semen straw and created purebred 3B cow and calf herds using embryo transfer technology.
The company's scientific and technological activities are a bright spot in the picture of high-quality livestock breed production in Hanoi capital. Many provinces and cities across the country have come to the company to visit, learn from experience, and request technology transfer.
With breakthrough solutions, Hanoi Livestock Breeding Joint Stock Company has mastered technology and scientific and technical advances in breeding and producing high-quality livestock breeds. From there, this unit becomes a place of learning, cooperation, and technology transfer on livestock farming and is a reliable address for providing high-quality breeds and semen to Hanoi City as well as provinces and cities nationwide.
In recent years, the company has successfully implemented the project "Application of research results on breeding BBB cows (3B cows) on the Sind hybrid beef cattle background into F1 meat-oriented cows in Hanoi City." As of now, the project has created over 380,000 F1 3B calves, increasing the productivity of crossbred beef cattle herds by 20–30% compared to previous hybrid breeds. Thereby improving beef cattle farming techniques for farmer households.
The product value produced by the F1 3B cow herd is estimated at over VND 16,000 billion. The added value compared to other beef cattle breeds at the same time was over VND 3,200 billion. The project has created over 190,000 jobs for households, helping them increase their income by VND 8-10 million/F1 3B calf after weaning (compared to other meat calf breeds of the same month of age).
Besides, turning beef cattle farming in rural areas into a profession with high commodity production. From there, accelerate the progress of restructuring livestock breeds, improve lives, increase income, and actively contribute to the construction of new rural areas in localities.
With this result, Hanoi is the first unit in the country to successfully breed and develop the F1 3B cow breed, bringing high economic efficiency to farmers, improving quality, and increasing the competitiveness of domestic beef products against imported products.
Currently, the company has mastered the technology of producing pure 3B cow semen straw and producing purebred 3B cow and calf herds using embryo transfer technology. This is a valuable genetic resource for the company to proactively select and create pure breeds of high productivity and quality without having to import.
