Global pepper prices today remained unchanged. Last week, the pepper market showed mixed trends, with only Sri Lanka's domestic black pepper prices continuing to rise.

Pepper prices are currently under significant pressure from the strengthening USD (with the DXY index at 106.85 at the time of the survey) due to escalating geopolitical instability worldwide and investor enthusiasm following Donald Trump's election as President of the United States.

The excitement among many global investors has driven them toward USD-denominated assets, such as U.S. government bonds, American stocks, and gold.

High demand has pushed up the value of the U.S. dollar, affecting the currencies of many countries worldwide. Depreciation in local currencies has driven down the export prices of agricultural products, including pepper.

Thus, global pepper prices on November 25, 2024, remained stable compared to yesterday.
