In India, with the new harvest season expected to commence in January 2025, traders are offloading their limited inventory, leading to a reduced supply last month.

Domestic demand for pepper in India is also on the rise, with traders predicting that demand may continue driving prices higher. However, imports from countries such as Sri Lanka and Vietnam decreased in November due to the weakening value of the Indian Rupee.

The price of MG1 black pepper in India currently stands at USD 8.05/kg. This price is forecasted to increase in the medium term after remaining stable, driven by constraints in global supply.
