(VAN) Pepper prices on February 6, 2025, have increased uniformly by VND 1,000 - 1,300. Domestic pepper prices are trading around VND 150,000 - 151,500/kg.

On the global market, pepper prices on February 6 are rising in Indonesia and are slightly down for exports from Vietnam.

In Indonesia, Lampung black pepper prices have increased by 0.34%, reaching $ 7,282/ton. White pepper from Muntok has risen by 0.36%, now at $ 9,780/ton.

In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 9,000/ton, while white ASTA pepper from the country is trading at $ 11,600/ton.

In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at $ 6,300/ton.

For Vietnam, export black pepper prices have slightly decreased, with the 500 g/l variety trading at $ 6,500/ton (up 2.31%), while the 550 g/l variety is priced at $ 6,650/ton. Similarly, export white pepper is priced at $ 9,550/ton.

Global pepper prices have slightly increased in Indonesia and risen by as much as 2.3% for Vietnam’s export of white pepper. Meanwhile, other countries remain stable.

Thus, global pepper prices on February 6, 2025, show a positive trend compared to yesterday.

Similarly, traders in Dong Nai are purchasing pepper at VND 150,000/kg.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, pepper prices are at VND 150,000/kg, up by VND 1000.

Finally, traders in Binh Phuoc are transacting at VND 150,000/kg, also up by VND 1000.

Domestic pepper prices have increased sharply today, rising by VND 1000 - VND 1300, pushing the commodity to easily surpass VND 151,000/kg.

In Dak Nong, farmers are currently harvesting pepper. Compared to the same period in 2024, pepper prices this year have shown positive signs, bringing hope and joy to the farmers, who are optimistic about a bumper crop.

The average export price of black pepper in 2024 reached $ 5,154/ton, a 49.7% increase, while white pepper was priced at $ 6,884/ton, up by 38.9% compared to the previous year.
