Prices in Indonesia rose slightly, while those in Malaysia dropped significantly. Prices in other countries remained stable.
Throughout Q3 and early October 2024, pepper prices faced downward pressure as agricultural companies, dealers, and intermediaries actively sold black pepper.
This activity has been driven largely by liquidity needs, as sellers seek capital to invest in coffee, which is currently in the harvest season.
Additionally, the ongoing pepper harvests in Brazil and Indonesia, coupled with limited growth in global demand and reduced purchasing from China, contributed to the decline in pepper prices in Q3.
Thus, global pepper prices on 10/25/2024, have shown uneven movements compared to yesterday.
Domestically, pepper prices continued their upward trend from yesterday.
In Dak Lak, pepper was purchased at VND 146,700/kg, up VND 500.
Dak Nong’s pepper price also rose by VND 500, reaching VND 147,000/kg.
In Gia Lai, pepper is traded at VND at 145,700/kg.

The domestic pepper prices today have recorded a second consecutive increase, rising between VND 500 to 1,000, bringing this agricultural product to the price level of VND 147,000/kg.
Thus, the domestic pepper prices on 10/25/2024, are trading in the range of VND 145,500 to VND 147,000/kg.
