Pepper prices on October 24 globally

Globally, pepper prices on October 24 continued to decline slightly in Indonesia.

Specifically, the price of black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, dropped by 0.39%, reaching $ 6,727 /ton. Meanwhile, the price of white pepper from Muntok, Indonesia, also fell by 0.39%, standing at $ 9,210.

The price of Kuching ASTA black pepper from Malaysia is currently $ 8,700/ton, while Malaysian ASTA white pepper is priced at $ 11,200/ton.

In the Brazilian market, the ASTA 570 black pepper is traded at $ 6,400/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper 500 g/l is trading at $ 6,500/ton, while the 550 g/l variety is priced at $ 6,800D/ton. The export price of white pepper is currently $ 9,500/ton.

Global pepper prices today continue to decline slightly in Indonesia but remain stable in other countries.

Thus, on 10/24/2024, global pepper prices continued to drop in Indonesia compared to the previous day.

Pepper prices on October 24 domestically

In the domestic market, pepper prices on October 24 remained stable compared to the previous day.

Specifically, Dak Lak is purchasing pepper at VND 146,200/kg, an increase of VND 1,200.

In Dak Nong, pepper prices increased by VND 1,500, reaching VND 145,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, today's pepper is trading at VND 145,200/kg, an increase of VND 1,200.

Traders in Dong Nai are buying pepper at VND 144,500/kg, an increase of VND 1,000.

Similarly, the pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau has reached VND 145,000/kg.

In Binh Phuoc, traders are purchasing pepper at VND 145,000/kg, an increase of VND 1,000.

Domestic pepper prices today have increased significantly by VND 1,000 to VND 1,500, bringing this agricultural product to a level of VND 146,500/kg.

It is forecasted that global pepper prices will remain high in the short term due to limited supply, which will benefit the Vietnamese pepper industry.

However, the high price of pepper also limits its consumption demand, as consumers tighten their spending. Notably, weak demand from the Chinese market continues to hinder the upward trend of pepper prices.

Thus, on 10/24/2024, domestic pepper prices are trading around 144,500 to VND 146,500/kg.
