Globally, pepper prices on October 17 saw mixed movements.
Specifically, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia slightly increased by 0.12%, reaching $ 6,764/ton. Meanwhile, the price of Muntok white pepper from the same country also rose by 0.12%, reaching $ 9,260/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,700/ton, while ASTA white pepper is priced at $ 11,200/ton.
In Brazil, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper dropped by 2.22%, trading at $ 6,400/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for 500 g/l black pepper are trading at $ 6,500/ton, while 550 g/l black pepper is priced at $ 6,800/ton. Export prices for white pepper are at $ 9,500/ton, marking a significant decrease of 3.68%.
Global pepper prices today have slightly increased in Indonesia but saw a sharp decline for Brazil's black pepper and Vietnam's white pepper exports. Meanwhile, other countries have maintained stable prices.
Thus, global pepper prices on 10/17/2024 exhibited mixed trends compared to yesterday.
In the domestic market, pepper prices on October 17 continued to rise in some regions compared to yesterday. Specifically:
Domestic pepper prices today have increased by VND 1,000 in Dak Lak and Dak Nong, along with an additional VND 500 in Gia Lai. Meanwhile, other key regions have remained stable. As a result, the price of this agricultural product has returned to VND 145,000/kg.
