Latest domestic and global pepper price update on 10/10/2024
Globally, pepper prices on October 10 remain stable.
According to the latest data, black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, is priced at $ 6,706/ton, while white pepper from Muntok is holding at $ 8,966/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,900/ton, and ASTA white pepper is at $ 11,400/ton.
For Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at $ 6,750/ton.
In Vietnam, black pepper for export (500 g/l) is trading at $ 6,800/ton, while the 550 g/l type is priced at $ 7,100/ton. White pepper for export remains at $ 10,150/ton.
Thus, global pepper prices on 10/10/2024 remained unchanged compared to the previous day.
Domestically, pepper prices on October 10 saw a strong increase compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak is buying pepper at VND 148,000/kg, up by VND 1,500;
Pepper prices in Dak Nong today increased by VND 2,000, reaching VND 148,000/kg;
Similarly, pepper prices in Gia Lai today dropped to VND 146,000/kg;
Traders in Dong Nai continue to buy pepper at VND 146,000/kg;
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau today increased by VND 1,500, reaching VND 147,500/kg;
Meanwhile, traders in Binh Phuoc are still trading pepper at VND 146,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today increased by VND 1,500 - 2,000, pushing this agricultural product to reach VND 148,000/kg.
In September 2024, Vietnam imported 2,430 tons of pepper, including 2,233 tons of black pepper and 197 tons of white pepper, with a total import value of $ 13.6 million. Compared to August, the import volume increased by 63%.
As of September 30, 2024, Vietnam had imported 23,778 tons of pepper, including 20,890 tons of black pepper and 2,888 tons of white pepper. The total import value of pepper reached $ 102.0 million, representing a 15.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
