Pepper prices on October 3 globally

Globally, pepper prices on October 3 experienced slight declines in several countries.

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia decreased by 0.28%, down to $ 6,892/ton. Similarly, the price of Muntok white pepper in this country also dropped by 0.28%, settling at $ 9,216/ton.

In Malaysia, the price of Kuching ASTA black pepper is $ 8,900/ton, while ASTA white pepper is priced at $ 11,400/ton.

For Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is being traded at $ 6,700/ton, a drop of 0.75%.

In Vietnam, the export price for 500 g/l black pepper is trading at $ 6,800/ton, while the 550 g/l variety is at $ 7,100/ton. The export price for white pepper is currently at $ 10,150/ton.

Global pepper prices today have decreased slightly in Indonesia and Brazil. Meanwhile, other countries have remained stable.

To summarize last week, the domestic and export prices of pepper in India were reported to be stable. Similarly, the domestic pepper price in Sri Lanka also remained unchanged after three weeks of increase.

In contrast, the price of black pepper in Indonesia decreased while the price of white pepper continued to rise since last week. Currently, most farmers in Lampung Province have completed the harvest.

Only the export price of black pepper from Malaysia remained stable last week, while other types recorded price increases.

The price of black pepper in Brazil has continued to decrease since last week. The price of black pepper in Cambodia has remained stable. The price of white pepper in China has increased over the past week.

In Vietnam, the domestic pepper price has decreased while the export price remains unchanged.

Thus, global pepper prices on 10/03/2024 show a slight downward trend compared to yesterday.

In Vietnam, the price of pepper on October 3 has shown little fluctuation compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, black pepper is being purchased at a price of VND 149,000/kg;

The price of black pepper in Dak Nong today is stable at VND 148,000/kg;

The price of pepper in Gia Lai today is trading at VND 147,500/kg (up VND 500);

Traders in Dong Nai are still purchasing black pepper at VND 148,000/kg;

The price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau today is at VND 148,000/kg;

Traders in Binh Phuoc are trading black pepper at a price of VND 149,000/kg.

The domestic pepper prices today are mainly stable, with only Gia Lai seeing a slight increase of VND 500.

Thus, the domestic pepper prices on 10/03/2024, are trading around VND 147,500 - 149,000/kg.
