In the world, the pepper market on April 7 stood still in many countries.
Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia is anchored at $ 4,463/ton. The price of Muntok white pepper in this country is $ 6,179/ton.
Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $ 4,900/ton; this country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $ 7,300/ton.
For the Brazilian market, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper remains at $ 4,500/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices of black pepper grades 500 and 550 g/l remained at $ 4,200 and $ 4,300/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper is anchored at $ 6,000/ton.
World pepper prices today went sideways. This week, the pepper market continued to have mixed reactions. In particular, domestic and international prices of Indian pepper and Indonesian black pepper tend to increase. The markets stand firm amid the changes.
Thus, world pepper prices on 04/07/2024 remain stable compared to yesterday.
Domestically, the pepper market on April 7 remained stable compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak and Dak Nong still trade pepper at the price of VND 94,000/kg;
Today's pepper price in Gia Lai moved sideways, remaining at VND 92,500/kg;
In Dong Nai, traders continue to trade at a price of VND 92,500/kg;
The latest pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is anchored at VND 93,000/kg;
Binh Phuoc traders are still trading pepper at the price of VND 93,000/kg.
Domestic pepper prices today stood still with the highest threshold reaching VND 94,000/kg. To summarize this week, the domestic pepper market has mixed increases and decreases.
Accordingly, pepper prices in Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc this week dropped sharply by VND 1,000/kg. Meanwhile, pepper prices in Gia Lai and Dong Nai increased slightly by VND 500/kg.
The Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association informed that Vietnam exported 25,579 tons of pepper of all kinds in March 2024. Of which, black pepper reached 22,282 tons, and white pepper reached 3,297 tons. Export turnover in March reached $ 110.7 million with black pepper reaching $ 92.0 million, and white pepper reaching $ 18.7 million.
Compared to February 2024, pepper export volume increased by 88.1% and turnover increased by 102.2%; But compared to the same period last year, pepper exports decreased by 28.8%. The average export price of black pepper in March reached $ 4,136/ton (up $ 310), while white pepper reached $ 5,710/ton (up $ 55).
In March 2024, the US is still the main export market of Vietnamese pepper with 6,431 tons; accounting for 25.1% and increasing 61.6% compared to February 2024.
As of March 31, 2024, our country has exported 56,712 tons of pepper of all kinds with 49,743 tons of black pepper, and 6,969 tons of white pepper. The total export value of pepper reached $ 235.6 million; of which black pepper reached $ 196.9 million and white pepper reached $ 38.7 million.
