Pepper prices on 10/25 in the world

Around the world, the pepper market on October 25 increased slightly in Indonesia but remained flat in other markets. 

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia increased by 0.46%; increased to $ 4,105/ton. The price of Muntok white pepper in this country increased by 0.47%; at $ 6,181/ton. 

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $ 4,900/ton; This country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $ 7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of ASTA 570 black pepper remained at $ 3,100/ton.

In Vietnam, export prices of 500 and 550 g/l black pepper are at $ 3,500 and $ 3,600/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper remained at $ 5,100/ton.

World pepper prices are recovering in Indonesia but remain stable in other markets. 

By the end of the third quarter of 2023, pepper exports recorded a decline in most of the world's leading producing countries, including Brazil (-2.4%), Indonesia (-24.8%), India (-30.3%)... and only increased in Vietnam (+18.1%). 

The global economic decline, inflation and rising interest rates have negatively affected pepper consumption demand in many countries, especially the US and EU. Meanwhile, demand from China and Africa is showing improvement after the Covid-19 pandemic. These are also the two markets that most actively imported Vietnamese pepper in the first 9 months of this year.  

Thus, world pepper prices on 10/25/2023 increased slightly in Indonesia compared to yesterday.

Pepper prices on October 25 in the country

Domestically, the pepper market on 10/25 remained stable compared to yesterday.

Specifically, Dak Lak and Dak Nong reduced their purchasing rate to VND 68,500/kg;

In Gia Lai, pepper prices are trading at VND 67,000/kg;

In Dong Nai, traders bought it at a price of VND 68,500/kg;

The latest pepper price in Ba Ria - Vung Tau decreased to VND 70,500/kg; 

Meanwhile, Binh Phuoc is trading at a price of VND 70,000/kg.

Domestic pepper prices today have no new fluctuations, after yesterday's slight decrease. Currently, the highest price is anchored in Ba Ria Vung Tau, with a threshold of VND 70,500/kg.

Thus, the domestic pepper price on 10/25/2023 is trading around VND 67,000 - 70,500/kg.
