Recently, the domestic market is showing signs of speculation, pinning the price on the "sharks". According to experts, the amount of pepper in Vietnam's warehouses in recent years has been released a lot.

The amount of new-season pepper sold to the market increased at the end of the season due to the surges. Farmers tend to hold commodities and traders hoard pepper this year to wait for higher prices.

In the latest monthly report, Simexco Daklak said, the output of the last harvest forecasted stayed at just over 200,000 tons of pepper, and export increase up to 107,000 tons after 4 months. This means that selling pressure from farmers and agents will not be much for the rest of the season.

Thus, today's pepper price on 05/19/2023 in the domestic market is trading around VND 73,000 - 76,000/kg.
