World pepper price on May 15

Pepper prices on May 15 in the world market went sideways across many countries. 

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia is pegged at $ 3,565/ton. And the price of Muntok white pepper in this country is $ 6,043 / ton.

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $ 4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $ 7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is $ 2,950/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of 500 and 550 g/l black pepper is $ 3,500 and $ 3,600/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper is $ 5,000/ton. 

Today's world pepper price continues to have no new changes in all export markets.

Summarizing last week, no country in the world's pepper market reported a decrease. 

Meanwhile, Indian pepper prices continued to remain stable. Meanwhile, Indonesian pepper prices fluctuated slightly. The price moved sideways in white pepper but increased slightly in black pepper.

Thus, today's pepper price on May 15, 2023, in the world market remained stable compared to yesterday.

Domestic pepper price on May 15

Pepper's price on May 15 in the domestic market is sideways compared to yesterday. 

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak and Dak Nong today remained at VND 73,000/kg;

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai is trading at VND 72,000/kg;

Today's pepper price in Dong Nai is purchased at VND 73,000/kg;

The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau is VND 75,500/kg;

And Binh Phuoc pepper price today 15/5 traded at 75,000 VND/kg.

Domestic pepper price today is still stable, with the highest price of VND 75,500/kg.

Last week, the domestic pepper market increased sharply by up to VND 1,500/kg in the Southeast provinces and VND 1,000/kg in the Central Highlands.

According to a report from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association, the export situation of pepper in the first 4 months of 2023 of our country increased sharply.

By the end of April 2023, our country has exported 103,018 tons of pepper. In which, black pepper reached 93,982 tons, while white pepper reached 9,036 tons.

Especially, pepper exports to Asia increased by 77%; accounting for 60.2% market share. In particular, China continues to be the main export market of Vietnamese pepper.

In the first 4 months of 2023, China imported 35,914 tons of pepper, up 1,430.2% over the same period. 

Thus, today's pepper price on 05/15/2023 in the domestic market is trading around VND 72,000 - 75,500/kg.
